Opportunity
Consulting as a Senior Developer on a major central government project to provide the required services to develop robust data pipelines, analytics, and visualization tools. These services will contribute to the creation of solutions that align with the principles of digital twins, which are virtual models connected to their real-world counterparts by a two-way flow of real-time data. The primary challenge is to consolidate these sources into one cohesive framework.
Security Clearance
Candidates will have or be willing to undergo a basic level of security clearance prior to starting the role.
Skills and Experience
JavaScript Frameworks
- Experienced in implementing complex features using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular.js and React.
Object-Oriented Programming
- Proficient in object-oriented programming languages, including Python.
Full-Stack Development
- Experience with both Front End and Back End development to contribute across the entire technology stack.
API Design
- Experienced in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Data Storage
- Skilled in using relational, non-relational, and object store data storage solutions.
Version Control
- Strong knowledge of Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab for version control and collaboration.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Familiarity with testing frameworks and methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing.
Security Best Practices
- Knowledge of security best practices (e.g., RBAC, ABAC) in software application development.
Containerisation
- Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying and managing data pipelines in a containerised environment.
Cloud Hosting
- Experience with cloud hosting technologies (AWS preferred).
CI/CD Solutions
- Proven ability to design and implement continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop robust data pipelines to integrate multiple infrastructure datasets across various sectors.
- Create analytics and visualization tools to support the integration and analysis of these datasets.
- Contribute to the development of digital twin solutions through innovative and transformational technology.
- Ensure the consolidation of data sources into a cohesive framework.
- Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and manage the entire technology stack.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployment of data pipelines.
