Key Responsibilities
- Lead participate in the enhancement of Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) capabilities leveraging your subject matter expertise.
- Assess SOC operational needs distinguishing between immediate requirements long-term strategic objectives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
- Deploy configure manage security tools within the SOC environment ensure optimal threat detection response capabilities.
- Conduct regular reviews fine-tuning of SOC processes procedures technologies improve efficiency effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams integrate threat intelligence feeds playbooks response workflows into SOC operations.
- Develop document communicate SOC playbooks incident response plans ensure coordinated effective response security incidents.
- Stay updated on emerging threats trends in SOC operations providing proactive advisory clients potential impacts improvements.
- Conduct periodic SOC readiness assessments identifying gaps proposing targeted enhancements.
- Draft communicate technical SOC policies standards guidelines tailored operational environments.
- Provide expert guidance on SOC tool selection adoption configuration align clients' operational environments requirements.
- Collaborate with clients on SOC operational enhancements providing expertise threat detection incident response.
Skills/Knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years industry experience Cyber Security Operations Centre (SOC) consulting related roles.
- Strong knowledge of SOC best practices threat detection incident response relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR NIST ISO 27001 etc.).
- Experience deploying configuring managing security tools within SOC environments (e.g., SIEM IDS/IPS EDR etc.).
- Bachelor's degree Cybersecurity Computer Science related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Relevant certifications cyber security SOP operations (e.g., CISSP GCIA GCIH etc.).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills ability convey technical concepts nontechnical stakeholders.Ability work collaboratively cross-functional teams.
Location?
Hybrid with 2–3 days working from Daintta office London Cheltenham or client site required.
