Hours: Mon – Fri, 40hrs per week
Overview:
Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for a waste management company based in Letchworth. This is a temp-perm position with the opportunity to go full time. Our client needs a well-rounded individual who can think on their feet and work in a fast-paced environment. This is a Monday to Friday position with start times varying between 06:00 – 14:00 or 08:00 – 17:00.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all operations are compliant with Health and Safety Standards, Company Policies, Procedures and Waste Management Legislation
- Effective management of resources and services; report any problems to Contract Manager
- Ensure your team and operations meet targets
- Conduct daily and weekly audits to ensure all operations meet Health and Safety Standards
- Maintain work reports and vehicle logs
- Update employee/related paperwork to include time sheets, holidays, sickness/absence
- Organise staff communications, meetings, and training
- Carry out any other reasonable job-related tasks as the company may require you to undertake from time to time
Key Knowledge / Qualifications:
- Management or Supervisory qualification
- Effective organisational and planning skills
- Previous experience working in the Waste Industry
- Experience in quality control
- Experience in conducting audits
- IOSH qualification
Key Characteristics:
- Previous experience of working with or managing a team.
- Previous experience of Street Sweeping and/or Refuse Collection (as appropriate).
- Minimum basic computer skills.
- LGV Licence (desirable)
- Digital Tacho Card, Valid CPC Card (as appropriate).
- Must be willing to assist on street cleansing/collections as required.
