Role Overview
This role is for a Business Analyst specializing in Financial Crime and Fraud, working predominantly remotely with occasional travel to Glasgow for workshops.
Key Experience Required
- A highly experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record in business analysis, delivering quality artefacts on budget and on time.
- An understanding of Fraud and Financial Crime projects within Banking environments.
- Ability to plan and manage the business analysis approach on a project, utilising all the tools available to deliver business requirements.
- Ability to assess options and consider the business impact for innovative business solutions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in Business Analysis working on Fraud or Financial Crime related projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including the ability to run workshops.
- Understanding of business readiness.
- Experience as a BA working on complex IT and/or Business Change projects within Financial Services environments.
- Strong and clear communication and interpersonal skills.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN) and process analysis tools (e.g., ARIS or Visio).
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum or Kanban) and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA or Trello).
- Knowledge of database and SQL, including relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle DB.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for various calculations, data, and budget analysis.
Soft Skills
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze and translate client requirements.
- Negotiation skills to achieve profitable results while keeping clients happy.
- Strong communication skills to work with all teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills to foresee outcomes and overcome obstacles.
- Stakeholder analysis skills to identify and remove barriers.
Work Arrangement
- The role is expected to be UK based and predominantly remote.
- Very occasional travel to Glasgow for workshops will be required.
Engagement Details
- Candidates must engage via an FCSA umbrella company.
- The role will be for an initial 6-month period.
- Top end rate of £437 per day.
