DescriptionJob Summary The Shift Manager is responsible for supervising and managing the operation consisting of the logistics and Appraisal team during the 2nd shift 3-10pm Monday to Friday. To ensure that production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and operational safety is prioritized. The Shift Manager will be tasked with resolving any operational challenges that arise during the shift and report to senior management to ensure continuous improvement. Location: Vintage cash cow, Unit 14 Overland park, Gelderd road, Gildersome, Leeds, LS277JP Department: Production/Operations Reports To: Logistics manager________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Production Oversight: Manage the production process during the 2nd shift to ensure productivity and efficiency based on the requirements of the business.Monitor and track the production output to meet company targets and deadlines.Ensure all production teams are running smoothly, making adjustments when necessary.Perform quality control checks to ensure products meet established quality standards.Team Supervision: Lead and Supervise a team of appraisals, logistics and facilities staff working during the 2nd shift.Provide training, guidance, and support to team members.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and company policies.Safety And Compliance Ensure all safety guidelines and protocols are followed by the 2nd shift team.Investigate and report any safety incidents or accidents, taking corrective actions when needed.Ensure compliance with company regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements.Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions aligned to the Health and Safety Manager..Ensure housekeeping standards are maintainedTroubleshooting And Problem Resolution Address and resolve any technical or operational issues that arise during the shift.Work with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.Ensure minimal downtime and prevent disruptions in production.Inventory And Supply Management Ensure adequate raw materials and supplies are available for production during the night shift.Manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.Reporting And Documentation Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and any incidents.Report on shift performance to senior management, highlighting successes and challenges.Ensure proper documentation of production logs, safety checks, and quality assurance reports.ExperienceExperience & SkillsMinimum 3-5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role, with at least 1 year of night shift experience.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.Qualification in production, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).Relevant certifications in production or safety management (preferred).SkillsStrong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of production planning and inventory control.
