Purpose
The Construction Supervisor (Electrical) is required to provide suitable, effective and proactive supervision to Enpure sub-contractors and supply chain, ensuring that the Electrical installation and commissioning within the Project are conducted in a safe, efficient and environmentally acceptable manner.
Supervision
Exercised: The supervision of Enpure Sub-contractors on site.
Received: Direction from the Construction Leader, Construction Manager, Commissioning Manager or Project/Site Manager.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- To ensure compliance with company procedures, work instructions, guidance notes and other information that forms part of the Integrated Management and Project Delivery Systems.
- To ensure the timely installation, testing and commissioning of all Electrical equipment.
- Represent Enpure in meeting Witness and Quality Hold Points in both Supplier Inspection and Test Plans, and Enpure Quality Plan.
- Inspect and obtain acceptance of Electrical installation by the Client.
- To carry out the Electrical Appointed Person role and prepare, issue and control permits to work as required.
- Maintain the project "Snag List" with respect to electrical items of plant and ensure satisfactory rectification.
- To undertake electrical acceptance/takeover demonstrations and to prepare and complete all relevant documentation to record testing procedures to meet contractual and Company requirements.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is complete and accepted by the Client.
- To mark up all site electrical and P&I drawings assist in the production of 'As Built' drawings.
- Ensure that upon completion of electrical installation, the Sub-contractor demobilises removes all surplus materials leaving site in a clean tidy state.
- Proactively 'trouble shoot' malfunctioning equipment systems accordance with specific project contract obligations perform appropriate corrective actions
- To liaise with Client's representatives at site level agree modes operation where applicable assist production Method Statements cover site activities.
- To liaise Vendors Suppliers ensure correct installation prior commissioning operation equipment items plant.
- Assist production Project Daily Diary events conjunction Site Manager.
- Report progress against agreed programme any delays Construction Manager.
- Monitor materials workmanship Sub-contractor ensure works installed accordance 'Approved for Construction' drawings materials specifications.
- Comply with Health Safety responsibilities commensurate role outlined Health Safety policy.
- Any other duties commensurate position may assigned time time.
Performance Measures
- The safe successful installation handover electrical plant equipment accordance defined programmes specifications.
- Proactive identification rectification any issues which may impact project programme cost quality safety performance
- Completion all Electrical installation Construction Completion Documentation
- Thorough efficient mark up drawings
- Efficient implementation Health Safety Work Act COSHH Environmental Plan other relevant statutory regulations
- Effective correction plant snags defects
Qualifications & Experience
Criteria Requirement Essential/Desirable
Qualifications/Skills
- A formal qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (HNC/HND as a minimum)
- SSSTS / SMSTS / CSCS
- IOSH Managing Safely in Construction or NEBOSH equivalent
- HV Switching Isolating Testing qualification
Experience
- First Aid at Work/Emergency First Aid
Knowledge experience
- Demonstrable site experience commensurate level role within water wastewater industry/or related sectors some which should be supervisory capacity
Ability use wide range IT packages including Microsoft Office
