Role and Objectives:
As a Business Analyst on the Consolidated Exposure project, your primary objective is to facilitate the design and implementation of a comprehensive system that consolidates trade lifecycle events, delivering near Real Time exposure and position data across multiple commodities. This role requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders to ensure the solution aligns with the company's risk management framework and business objectives. Your expertise will be pivotal in translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring the successful delivery of a tool that enhances the company's risk assessment and decision-making capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project Collaboration and Scoping:
- Work closely with stakeholders across Front Office, Risk Management, and IT to define and document the scope and design of the exposure engine.
- Lead workshops to gather requirements, understand trade lifecycle events, and align expectations with business needs.
Requirements Management:
- Elicit, analyse, and document detailed business and functional requirements for consolidating exposures across multiple commodities and trade types.
- Translate complex business needs into actionable specifications for the development team.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior-level stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, risks, and challenges.
- Manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations to ensure project deliverables align with strategic goals.
Exposure Tool Design:
- Contribute to the design of a Real Time exposure and position monitoring tool, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and alignment with the company's risk management framework.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate trade lifecycle events into the consolidated exposure engine.
Testing and Validation:
- Support the creation of testing strategies including test cases
