Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer to join our team on a remote contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding our clients’ digital assets by managing application security, cybersecurity, network security, and information security operations. You will also contribute to information security management processes to ensure compliance and robust protection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security protocols and measures to protect systems and data.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks.
- Monitor systems for unusual activity and respond promptly to security incidents.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate security controls into new applications and systems.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 standards and other relevant frameworks.
- Provide guidance on best practices for cybersecurity measures and tools.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Expertise in Application Security, Network Security, Cybersecurity, and Information Security Management.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 standards.
- Proficiency in security tools like firewalls, encryption programs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with analytical thinking.
- Strong communication abilities and teamwork mindset.
