Role Overview:
- This key role will see you leading a team with responsibility for the delivery of end-to-end financial control activity.
- We’ll look to you to proactively establish and maintain strong working relationships with key customers and stakeholders, and the wider Finance team.
- As a key member of our team, you’ll enjoy extensive collaboration and can expect great visibility for you and your work.
- We’re offering this role on a temporary basis until the end of February 2026.

What you'll do:
As Franchise Financial Controller, you’ll ensure the integrity of monthly, quarterly and annual financial information, including balance sheet, profit and loss account, internal and external reporting and other supporting data. You’ll be helping to shape the strategy and operating model for financial control, with the overriding objective of establishing and maintaining trust and confidence of customers and stakeholders.

Through the course of your work, you’ll:
- Consider and escalate the adequacy and effectiveness of the business’s controls.
- Provide sound analytical reviews, challenges, and analysis to customers.
- Negotiate the delivery of day-to-day and ad hoc outputs, dealing with non-delivery issues as they arise.
- Act as the key customer relationship manager between the business area and wider Financial Reporting & Control teams.
- Initiate continuous improvement projects to automate and streamline financial control activities.

The skills you'll need:
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring extensive post-qualification experience in a finance environment, preferably within the financial services industry. You’ll have experience working at a senior management level with multiple reporting lines across a global matrix environment.

We’ll also look to you to bring:
- Experience providing senior management with detailed financial information.
- The ability to identify, build, enhance key relationships while challenging as needed.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate issues succinctly to senior management.
- The ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
