Description
Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading civil subcontractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor on a 12-month contract for its Cheshire site.
The Quantity Surveyor role comes with a day rate of £450.
Key skills
* Mentor the commercial team where required promoting CPD, etc.
* Oversee all assigned commercial accounts in line with the R&Rs outlined below.
* Actively chase up applications, payment certs and associated payments.
* Negotiate, agree, and close out final accounts.
* Ensure compliance on assigned commercial accounts are in line with contractual obligations surrounding payment terms/commercial calendar and construction law.
* In the unlikely event of a dispute, oversee, negotiate, attend and see through dispute resolution meetings through necessary means such as arbitration or similar.
* Establish, update and maintain a schedule of rates for tendering purposes
* Establish, update and maintain a schedule of current day works rates.
