Position Scope
To support optimization and technical improvement within an area of the refinery by identifying managing medium sized projects or working as part of a larger project team while standing in for Process Team Manager during holiday/absence as required.

Position Accountabilities
- Assist in managing technical plant related aspects concerning Safety Hygiene Environment Quality consistent with TALS procedures targets achieving continuous improvement meeting legislative regulatory compliance.
- Develop systems to measure key plant technical performance output quality standards.
- Identify projects enhancing safety de-bottlenecking improving technical performance reducing costs.
- Assist coordinating problem solving efforts requiring technical input.
- Identify non-optimal plant operations (including utilities/energy usage) collaborating with Console Field personnel to improve process operation.
- Contribute maintenance planning for areas prioritizing work maximizing benefits.
- Anticipate raw sugar quality related problems minimizing impacts on operations.
- Provide guidance to Shift Process Team Managers regarding appropriate reactions to specific process issues.
- Work alongside Console Operators improving handling operating problems effectively.
- Develop systems monitoring overall plant performance metrics efficiently manage medium sized projects (up to Β£100k).
- Act as process engineer on larger projects serving liaison between project teams production departments updating developing key documentation including process models P&IDs line lists relevant area responsibilities.

Desired Work Experiences
Relevant experience within manufacturing operations; knowledge safety management systems such as risk assessment safety auditing permits work etc.; some understanding automatic control systems; good interpersonal skills; ability communicate all levels both verbally written form; team working nature combined potential lead teams effectively coordinate tasks efficiently.

Essential Education Requirements
Educated degree level preferably Chemical Engineering.
