Overview:
We are looking for a talented individual with an entrepreneurial mindset who has proven ideation, research and launch experience of ground-breaking or disruptive SaaS product. You will need to have owned the product P&L and also to have been involved longer term in ongoing product iterations so you can demonstrate product longevity and sustainability and also have a sound understanding of the product and its journey to market (successes, challenges, failures, learnings etc).

Position Overview:
To this end, we are inviting experienced SaaS product management professionals to apply for an exciting opportunity within our IT team. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the Product Director will play a key role within the Programme and Product Management function and join a team of experienced project and programme management professionals and business analysts.
The Purpose Of The Role:
As Product Director, you will own the product strategy, planning, investment, delivery and ongoing performance for one of Defaqto's flagship SaaS products. You will have responsibility for maximising the overall performance of the product in terms of numbers of financial decisions influenced and revenue / product profitability, as well as identifying opportunities to extend or enhance the product and bring new products to market.
Areas Of Responsibility:
- Ownership of the product vision and strategy including roadmap prioritisation
- Delivery of market and customer intelligence
- Driving customer centricity and user experience
- Product profile & loss; product investment case
- End-to-end product performance measurement and improvement
What You Need To Succeed:
- Experience as a Head of Product, Product Director or Senior Product Manager in a small to medium-sized firm is essential.
- Demonstrable success in developing and growing an outstanding SaaS product.
- Proven success in delivering high-quality digital user experiences that have delighted end-users and performed ahead of competition.
- Appreciation and understanding high-quality user-centric design.
- Detailed knowledge marketing; sale; expansion; operation; support digital products.
- Entrepreneurial mind-set - we'll be looking out for examples on your CV during selection process.
- Experience owning P&L for SaaS products creating financial forecasts investment cases govern allocation resources within business.
- Relationship building networking influencing - your key stakeholders include ExCo.
- Analytical critical thinking.
Additional Information:
Your office base will be in Haddenham but attendance will be on a hybrid basis - around 3 or 4 times each month depending on business requirements. The wider team tend to be in office at least twice each week so you are more than welcome work on this basis too if you are local! You will also have access London workspace.
We have plenty free onsite parking less than a 10-minute walk from Haddenham Thame Parkway railway station (London Marylebone Oxford line).
