Role Overview
The Director Advertising, Paid and social media will lead and strategize Wiley's global digital media initiatives, unifying advertising, paid media, and social media capabilities to drive innovation, audience engagement, and return on investment (ROI). This role combines deep technical expertise in advertising practices with creative strategies to expand Wiley's influence across standard and emerging social media platforms. This position requires a leader comfortable with both storytelling through creative executions and leveraging data to inform decisions. Acting as an evangelist for Wiley's digital marketing capabilities, the Director will drive greater internal adoption and visibility of these critical resources. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of creating synergy across owned social media, employee activation, social selling programs, programmatic advertising, search advertising, influencer strategy and more.
This role collaborates cross-functionally with brand, content, B2B and B2C field marketers, advanced analytics, and digital marketing experts in web and marketing automation to deliver integrated multi-channel journey-led campaigns. Additionally,the Director will leverage customer data platforms (CDP), audience management platforms,and journey orchestration tools to ensure alignment with Wiley's business goals,grow market share,and revenue.
The Director Advertising,Socail & Paid Media will oversee a team of media professionalsand manage agency/vendor partnerships to balance Wiley's owned expertisewith scalabilityand cost efficiency.This includes ensuring seamless executionof campaigns that elevateWiley's brand engage target audiences,and deliver measurable business outcomes.The successful candidatewill bring experience leading teams throughdigital transformationinitiativesand integrating advanced technologiesinto marketing strategies.

What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor's degreein Marketing Communications Business or arelatedfield.
