About The Opportunity
In this key role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the future of our software by designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality applications using Python, Django, and related technologies. You will also provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
About Your Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust and scalable web applications using Python, Django, and related technologies.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve application performance,
reliability,
and user experience.
- Conduct thorough code reviews,
ensuring adherence to best practices,
coding standards,
and security guidelines.
- Write clean,
well-documented,
and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product,
design,
QA) to gather requirements,
define technical specifications,
and ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from planning
and design
to deployment
and maintenance.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Python,Django,and related technologies,and proactively explore
and implement new technologies
and best practices.
- Proactively identify
and resolve technical challenges
and provide support to end-users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement
of our development processes
and methodologies.
- Mentor junior developers
and foster a positive
and collaborative team environment.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development with a strong focus on Python Django.
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies including HTML,CSS,and JavaScript (including modern frameworks like React,Vue.js or Angular).
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL , MySQL) NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
- Strong understanding of software design patterns , object-oriented programming principles , RESTful APIs .
- Experience with cloud platforms(e.g.,AWS,Aazure,GCP)is plus.

Role location
This is hybrid role so you'll be based from our Cwmbran office twice each week work collaborate with colleagues . There's plenty free carparking onsite .
