Our growing team brings together various skills and expertise, working collectively to develop a game that stands out in the industry. As a start up, we offer a flexible contract agreement requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week. You will be using our Clock-in portal on Discord to record your hours. We are actively pursuing investment and funding opportunities to support and pay our team based on revenue from sales or secured funding. This is a great opportunity to be part of a promising start-up. Our HR Staff ensures that your hours are recorded and tracked at all times so we know how much we will be required to pay you at the time of securing an investment.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a UI Engineer to design and implement high-quality, interactive UI elements within Unreal Engine 5. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, artistic sensibility, and problem-solving skills to create immersive UI experiences that enhance gameplay. You will work closely with designers, programmers, and artists to develop UI systems that are intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement UI elements using Unreal Motion Graphics (UMG) and Blueprints.
- Integrate UI systems into gameplay, ensuring seamless interactions.
- Optimize UI performance; ensuring smooth rendering across different platforms.
- Work closely with designers and developers to maintain visual consistency and functionality.
- Create UI animations and transitions for menus; HUDs; in-game elements.
- Ensure UI is responsive; accessible; adapting to different screen resolutions; input methods.
- Troubleshoot; debug UI-related issues ensuring polished player experience.
- Support localization efforts implementing multi-language UI functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Proven experience as a UI Engineer; Developer or Technical Designer in Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 specifically UMG; Blueprints; scripting.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles best practices.
- Experience with animations transitions effects for UIs.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for UIs in games.
- Excellent problem-solving skills ability work fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills ability collaborate cross-functional teams.
- Passion for video games immersive design.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working indie start-up game projects
- Familiarity C++ Unreal Engine scripting UIs
