Description
Skills and Experience Required:
- Significant commercial experience with the following technology:
- AWS including: CDK, Serverless (Lambda), S3, API Gateway, Cloud Formation, AWS RDS for Postgres
- Typescript (or modern JavaScript) and Node
- Vanilla ReactJS and/or NextJS
- Java and SpringBoot
- Design and implementation of solutions using a service-based and serverless architecture
- Experience working in Agile delivery models such as Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks
- Developing within GDS or Digital First (or similar) quality standards
- Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes
- Formal XP engineering techniques, including Pair Programming and Test Driven Development
- Defining infrastructure-as-code
Bonus Skills:
- Human-centred, research-driven, inclusive design practices
- Testing tools and frameworks, eg Cypress
- Use of UI pattern libraries to achieve consistent, tested and high-quality interfaces
