Contract Brief:
A leading technology company is seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to take ownership of their cloud infrastructure and enhance platform reliability within a containerised microservices architecture. This role involves working with AWS services, managing security, scaling infrastructure, and driving automation to optimise system performance and availability. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer with expertise in cloud-based solutions and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities:
- Design, manage, and optimise cloud-native infrastructure in AWS, following best practices outlined in the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensure consistent delivery.
- Implement and enforce security best practices in line with ISO27001:2022 compliance.
- Monitor system performance using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, ensuring high availability and quick incident response.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in platform capabilities and enhance system reliability.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.

Requirements:
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS) in production and building serverless architectures in AWS.
- Expertise in deploying workloads using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Deep understanding of networking, security best practices, and IAM policies.
