Company Overview
"Global Futures and Options Ltd (GFO-X)", a UK FCA-authorised and regulated MTF, is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our growing team in London, UK. GFO-X is the UK's first regulated and centrally cleared trading venue dedicated to digital asset derivatives. GFO-X has partnered with LCH SA which will offer clearing of Bitcoin index futures and options contracts traded on GFO-X, subject to regulatory approval. This will be made available through a new segregated clearing service, LCH DigitalAssetClear. GFO-X services large global institutional participants who require a regulated, institutional-grade trading venue for digital asset derivatives, including bitcoin index futures and options.
Team Structure
The successful candidate will join the Infrastructure team, report to the Head of Infrastructure, work with developers and project stakeholders, and build the infrastructure for an institutional grade fully UK-regulated trading venue for digital asset futures and options.
Responsibilities
- Provision of Exchange infrastructure, including server hardware, Linux OS, and applications
- Second-line support of exchange infrastructure
- Provision of monitoring, management, and alerting of Exchange infrastructure
- Provision of support to the Exchange Operations team to assist in daily exchange operations and resolving operational issues
- Working with the Security team to implement corporate security policies to ensure our IT environments adhere to internal and industry-standard policies and practices
- Propose and lead projects that improve our production environments
- Creation of technical documentation
- Contribution to Exchange design and architecture discussions
- Working shifts may be required as may on-call support
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in administering and deploying Linux solutions in similar industries
- Practical exposure to Ansible, Puppet or similar configuration management tools
- Experience with configuring and managing resilient low-latency environments is particularly welcome
- Experience in deployment operations of virtualization platforms
- Demonstratable skills with orchestration automation tools including scripting languages such as Bash/Shell Perl Python
- Exposure to configuring the Zabbix monitoring platform or similar
- Exposure to IPA or similar Identity Management platforms including practical LDAP skills
- Self-starter independent able to work within a team. Detail-oriented with a structured approach managing workload
- Capable interacting different teams throughout organization external clients identify/resolve technical issues professional effective manner
- Ability write clear concise comprehensive documentation processes systems
- Experience managing vendors
- Experience proposing evaluating new hardware software solutions associated processes
- Strong command spoken written English
- Previous working experience Exchange HFT environment
Location
