Application Packager - 6-9 Month Contract (SC Clearance Required)
Overview
An exciting opportunity to join the growing End User Services UK department, supporting multiple high-profile clients. This 6-9 month contract role ensures software is delivered in a controlled and monitored manner while driving improvements and efficiency as standard. You will play a key role in enhancing processes and shaping the end-user experience.
Location & Hybrid Working
- Travel to the client site in Salisbury 2 days per week for the first month (potentially longer).
- After this initial period, the role will transition to home-based working.
Security Clearance Requirement
To be eligible for this role, you must hold active SC clearance due to timescales of the project.
Your Role
As an Application Packager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing an organized and controlled method of software deployment.
- Conducting quality assurance testing.
- Creating detailed documentation outlining packaged application functionality.
- Building strong relationships with the client, third parties, and vendors.
- Assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) fault resolution.
Your Skills & Experience
- Expert knowledge of packaging tools, including Flexera Admin Studio, Advanced Installer, PACE, or Orca.
- Cloud technology experience, particularly Microsoft Intune and Azure Modern Desktop Management.
- Experience in packaging applications for multiple platforms, including Windows 7 and Windows 10.
- Strong PowerShell Scripting skills.
- Hands-on experience with MS App-V Sequencer and Windows Installer (MSI/MSIX) technology.
Desirable Skills
- SCCM deployment - Deploying packaged software to devices for UAT.
- 3rd line support - Troubleshooting faults and identifying solutions.
