Overview:
Are you an experienced Contract Manager looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to share best practice and develop contract managers across an organisation, contracting for a wide range of goods, works and services? We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to work with us at Bath & North East Somerset in developing the organisation’s approach to contract management. You will be one of the Council’s contract management professionals involved in developing and implementing a contract management framework for the Council. If you’d like to work in a positive and friendly team to influence how the local authority shapes the services it delivers, few opportunities will offer a better chance of driving change.

About The Role:
As a Senior Procurement Officer (Corporate Contracts), you will be a key member of the Strategic Procurement Team within the Resources Directorate, responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate contracts and in developing and implementing a contract management framework and systems across the Council’s directorates.
About You:
You will be an experienced contract manager who thrives in developing systems and processes while maintaining relationships with suppliers. You will have a drive to identify best practice and develop heads of service, commissioning managers, and contract managers.
You will be proactive with a collaborative work style; you will lead by example demonstrating a people-focused, risk-based approach to contract management in support of council strategic objectives. You will be flexible team worker that is able to prioritise your own workload; have good eye for detail; be confident with figures; experience in developing robust customer/client relationships as well as relationships with internal stakeholders.
