Description
Our client is a global design and architecture firm that requires a robust, future-oriented technology framework to support various facets of its business - from remote collaboration to advanced design tools and secure file management. They are seeking an experienced technology consultant to develop a comprehensive IT/Tech Blueprint that will inform their technology strategy over the next 3-5 years. They have an Embedded strategic IT partner who has supported their growth over the past 10+ years who will assist on this assignment.
A key driver is that their staffing model has evolved and 50% project work is now handled by independent contractors. This requires a technology stack that supports seamless onboarding and offboarding, granting the right level of access to systems and files without excessive manual intervention and is very different than most architectural service firms.
The primary goal of this engagement will be to create a detailed, actionable plan that addresses the organisations current and future technology needs, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives. This should include the following:
Identify critical technology gaps and opportunities.
Recommend solutions to enhance design efficiency and collaboration.
Improve security, scalability, and global accessibility.
Incorporate AI and emerging technologies for design innovation.
Support client-facing interactions and project management in real-time.
Address the unique requirements of a flexible workforce model, especially where a significant percentage of work is performed by independent contractors.
The successful candidates should have experience of providing Technology/IT advisory to the architecture/design sector and understand the challenges of a flexible staffing model. This should include Assessment & Discovery, Solution Design/Architecture and Technology Roadmap, defining Implementation Strategies, Security strategy and compliance guidelines. Knowledge and experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) tools.
