Location: Northamptonshire - Hybrid
Rate: £350 - £420 per day
Contract Duration: Initial 3-month contract
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work within the disrepair team, providing an effective Building Control service and promoting sustainable construction and energy efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out the full range of Building Control surveying activities, including site inspections, plan appraisals, investigating dangerous structures, responding to customer enquiries, coordinating statutory consultations, demolitions, liaising with experts, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively manage contravening building works and enforce building regulations requirements through effective enforcement in line with service policies and procedures and the Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator. Investigate alleged breaches of building regulations, gather evidence, and attend court as required.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of casework undertaken and involvement in projects in line with performance standards and Operational Standards Rules published by the Building Safety Regulator.
- Support the Building Control Manager through the implementation of a marketing strategy and action plan to increase income and market share.
Requirements:
- Experience working within Disrepair / Building Control.
