About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Category Manager to join our dynamic Marketing Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for assigned marketing categories, ensuring the delivery of high-quality goods and services at the best possible value. You will play a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:
- Lead the sourcing and selection of marketing vendors, conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, and vendor evaluations.
- Negotiate and execute contracts with new and existing vendors, ensuring compliance with all legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee vendor performance, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and address any performance issues proactively.
- Manage the entire vendor lifecycle, including onboarding, contract renewals, and performance reviews.
Procurement Operations & Support:
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with day-to-day procurement activities such as purchase order processing, invoice reconciliation, and contract administration.
- Act as a point of contact for procurement-related inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Marketing, Legal, Finance ,and other departments.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve procurement objectives.
- Effectively communicate procurement strategies ,updates ,and best practices to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Marketing Procurement ,Vendor Management ,Strategic Sourcing ,or Category Management.
- Fluent in English and Japanese .
- Strong understanding of contract law and contract management principles .
- Proven experience in negotiating and executing contracts .
- Excellent analytical ,problem-solving ,and decision-making skills .
- Strong interpersonal ,communication ,and presentation skills .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems (Workday preferred).
- Experience with eSourcing and Contract Management software is a plus .
- Bachelor's degree in Business ,Supply Chain or a related field . MBA or advanced degree is a plus .
- CPSM or other relevant procurement/supply chain certifications preferred .
