As the Quality Engineering Lead specializing in HVDC Control & Protection, you'll play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, reducing costs of poor quality, and ensuring adherence to quality standards in HVDC Engineering. Reporting directly to the HVDC Engineering Quality Leader, your primary focus will be on safeguarding engineering quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Description Summary
The purpose of this role is to proactively lead improving standard work application (e.g., Gate Reviews, Risk Assessment, Engineering Change Management, Root Cause Analysis) reduction of Cost of Poor Quality & Non-Conformity resolution time in HVDC Engineering. Acting as an ambassador for quality by influencing supporting contributing mentoring and gatekeeping Engineering NPI ITO OTR Processes while ensuring Lesson Learned during project execution are incorporated into Design.

This role reports into HVDC Engineering Quality Leader and works very closely with C&P V&V NPI Product Care Leaders / Teams.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure Key Market requirements Return of Experience (RoEs) are being addressed while developing New Product Introduction (NPI). Also support/facilitate Risk assessment study using Design Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (DFMEA) during NPI stage.
- Ensure project requirements are fully studied during Order to Remittance (OTR) handover; Risks & Opportunities are clearly noted; Risk mitigation plan is worked upon.
- Actively participate in Design/Technical/System/Gate Reviews & ensure relevant PDG processes are fully followed emphasizing all customer requirements being addressed.
- Review Engineering Change Management (ECM) deployment on Projects from timely implementation perspective adhering strictly to process standpoint.
- Monitor Project Engineering Progress during monthly engineering reviews bringing discussion towards Recovery Plan for Off Track KPIs.
- Lead/Initiate Non-conformity Customer Complaint reviews with project teams from On Time & Quality resolution point emphasizing Containment Corrective Preventive Actions.
- Lead/Support/Coach Problem Solving Report (PSR), 8D (Eight Disciplines) for medium-to-high complexity issues.
- Lead Lesson Learned forums capturing validating releasing Lessons ensuring Design Guidelines Processes Templates Checklists improved accordingly.
- Review Budget Deviation Requests (BDR) on HVDC driving improvement actions accordingly.
- Guide Coach Mentor Support Teams on Quality Tools Processes effectively collaborating cross-functionally within GSI outside it such as PT GA resolving Project issues timely manneredly leading Process Audits contributing External Audits preparation ensuring timely execution addressing findings stipulated timeframes facilitating/contributing Kaizen process improvements assuring SW release Quality.

Required Qualifications
Undergraduate/Postgraduate degree preferably Electrical/Electronic/Control Engineering from accredited university or college
A minimum 5 years professional experience in Quality/Engineering
A minimum 5 years experience working Projects/Programs
Experience working Global Multi-Cultured Matrix Organization

Desired Characteristics
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001 Certified Auditor
Experience working Transmission Distribution Industry especially Valves domain
