Company Information
Digital Skills are working with a large client, based in the South of England, with offices across the south and internationally. The client has a significant on-prem infrastructure as well as being involved in a number of migrations into the Cloud.
Role Requirements
We are looking for both a Technical expert as well as a proven manager of people to come in and lead a team of up to 10 as well as giving technical and strategic leadership on a variety of projects and initiatives.
Required Experience
- Senior DBA working with MongoDB
- PostgreSQL experience
- Experience working with Mongo Atlas.
- Knowledge of Audit, Security and Encryption at rest
- Experience with managing medium size team of 4 to 10 DBAs
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB Installation and ability to configure Docker MongoDB Images on Linux Box.
Role Responsibilities
This role is as much hands-on as it is management-focused. You must be confident in managing technology while also experienced in managing a team. Your role will involve strategic leadership and setting objectives that include implementing multi-data center replica sets and sharded clusters in Linux and Windows environments.
You will be required to plan and execute strategic database activities including resolution of complex issues and operational management. You will run the implementation, monitoring, backup, and automation of database systems; therefore strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
Company Environment
The client is an international company with offices across the US, Canada, and the UK. You will be working with teams located globally; experience in large corporate environments is necessary.
Additional Information
This role is outside IR35, remote but will require occasional travel to the South of England including London. The position is 3-month rolling contract expected to last up to 12 months.
