Project Overview
Our client has a very large New Build Industrial project with full automation fit out and high specification offices. The project is being delivered under a Construction Management contract and will run for 3.5 years, covering 1M Sq.ft., which includes 120 dock levelers and high-end offices near Bedford.
Responsibilities
- Reporting into a Construction Director
- Responsible for recruiting a team to include:
- Design Manager
- Engineer
- Senior Site Manager
- Team of Site Managers
- Document Controller
- H&S Manager
- Building Services Manager
Key Attributes Required
- Strategic thinker with strong client-facing skills
- Planning, process, and safety focused
- Experience leading project teams with build values in excess of £50M
Experience Requirements
- Ideally automated distribution centre experience
- High Value project experience (£75M +)
- Experience managing stakeholders, supply chain, and direct team
- Autonomous approach to safety, planning, and process focus
Project Management Skills
- Project reporting to Director and client
- Planning for the next 3 – 6 months; SSM to look at the next 1 –3 months; SM's to provide four-week lookaheads
- Will appoint own team in conjunction with the Director's sign-off
- Proficient in ASTA or MS
