Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Systems Design Engineer to join our team, with a specific focus on Electrical and Electronic Architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the development of complex electrical systems that meet customer requirements and align with industry standards. The role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, managing technical specifications, and supporting testing and integration activities.

Requirements

Electrical & Electronic Architecture Ownership:
- Own the system electrical architecture, including topology design, technical specifications, and the development of equipment
- Lead the design and review of electrical system architectures and ensure they meet customer and project requirements
- Define and develop the optimum electrical architecture for complex systems, ensuring alignment with functional and safety requirements
- Specify the communication and processing architecture to ensure seamless operation and integration of system components

Power Systems Architecture:
- Design and specify the power systems architecture, including power budgets, power profiles, and load analysis to ensure efficient and reliable system performance
- Develop specifications for power supply systems, ensuring that all components meet operational and safety standards

Signal Safety Design:
- Design the routing of safety-related signals, ensuring compliance with relevant safety and performance standards
- Specify safety signal architecture, ensuring robust designs that minimize risks and potential system failures

Subsystem Interface Definitions:
- Specify define interface characteristics between subsystems equipment , ensuring clear , reliable communication integration across all system components
- Work with design authorities to review , challenge , support technical design decisions to ensure performance safety requirements are met

Technical Requirements Standards Compliance:
- Write maintain technical requirements key electrical equipment overall system , ensuring detailed clearly defined
- Review adhere defence industry standards , ensuring designs developments meet highest quality regulatory standards

Testing Fault Investigation:
- Support testing activities during equipment integration qualification ensure designs meet performance safety requirements
- Lead fault-finding investigations document findings ensure corrective actions implemented effectively

Guidelines Process Improvement:
- Review author technical guidelines processes best practices improve system design integration processes
- Ensure all designs processes align industry company standards

Collaboration Support:
- Collaborate cross-functional teams including hardware software testing engineers ensure successful integration electrical systems
- Provide expert support design teams ensuring technical integrity system architecture equipment

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering Systems Engineering or a related field.

Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in electrical architecture design preferably in complex systems or defence/aerospace industries
- Strong understanding of system electrical architecture including topology communication power systems signal safety design
- Experience writing technical requirements specifications for electrical systems equipment
- Familiarity with EMC bonding grounding screening requirements experience supporting test activities
- Experience in fault finding system qualification supporting test integration activities
- Knowledge of industry standards defence regulations best practices related to electrical systems
- Strong communication collaboration skills work effectively with design teams stakeholders
