Project Overview
As a highly experienced Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of a residential development in Greater Manchester, with a build value in excess of £50m. Your responsibilities will include managing the smooth and efficient flow of materials and resources across the site, optimising operations to enhance overall project success.

Requirements
Professional Qualifications:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Black Card - desirable not essential
- First Aid - desirable not essential
- CPCS A61 Appointed Person - desirable not essential

Experience:
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 3 years of experience working with a leading contractor or subcontractor
- History of operating as a Logistics Manager or in a similar position on major projects

Additional Skills:
- Team working skills
- Excellent leadership
- Efficient time management skills
- Strong expertise in negotiating with vendors, carriers, and stakeholders
- Strong communication abilities, written and verbal with a keen eye for detail
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial management to optimize logistics expenses and resources
- Proficient with utilising Msite, tracking systems, and other technological tools used in managing supply chain operations

Duties
1. Toolbox talks
2. Quality control
3. Reporting regularly
4. Coordination of site boundary management
5. Incident review, recordkeeping, and reporting
6. Monitor expenses and promote effective resource allocation
7. Establishing financial plans for logistics operations
8. Coordinate storage, management, control inventory
9. Oversee delivery storage distribution goods
10. Develop manage logistics strategies ensure timely delivery goods
11. Monitor movement goods address logistical issues as they occur
12. Ensure correct inventory quantities set up systems monitoring stock levels
13. Plan schedule oversee transportation goods ensure timely deliveries
14.Aanalyse logistics performance data implement improvements based findings
15.Assess supply chain risks (e.g., delays damage) establish contingency measures
16.Build uphold productive relationships vendors carriers essential partners
17.Collaborate suppliers manufacturers customers enhance supply chain efficiency
18.Utilise logistics software systems enhance efficiency (e.g., route optimization tracking)
19.Oversight order fulfillment resolve delivery issues ensure high-quality service customers
20.Prepare manage all necessary documentation shipping records customs forms
21.Deliver regular updates senior management logistics performance trends improvement opportunities
22.Handle commercial management ensure budget compliance without compromising service/product quality
23.Address customer complaints related logistics collaborate appropriate teams resolve issues promptly
24.Design implement logistics policies procedures emphasize efficiency sustainability effectiveness
25.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related logistics operations including delivery times cost efficiency inventory accuracy
