We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, to join our Procurement team based in either London or Milton Keynes, England, UK.

About the mission we offer you:
The Senior Buyer will manage the complete purchasing cycle of allocated Material Requisitions (MRs), ensuring execution within budget, on schedule, and meeting quality standards. In this role you will collaborate closely with internal teams including the Section Head; Project Procurement Manager; Engineering; Project Manager; Legal; Finance; VPM; Transport; Logistics while maintaining effective communication and relationships with external suppliers.
Main Accountabilities:
- Recommending Bidder Lists for allocated MRs.
- Set up and manage enquiries and purchase orders using the Group IT Tools.
- Carry out commercial and contractual negotiations up to supplier selection.
- Ensuring close collaboration with Engineering to finalize technical/commercial clarifications within schedule cycle.
- Compiling/issuing purchase order ensuring acceptance without comments.
- Managing all changes of scope during purchase order execution including issue amendments.
- Recovering applicable liquidated damages/back charges notified to vendors.
- Managing close out of purchase orders/feedback on vendor performance.

- Proven experience in a similar role within procurement/purchasing/supply chain management.
- Technical diploma or relevant degree/diploma.
- Negotiation skills
- Organizational abilities: curiosity/problem solver/target-oriented/rigorous/respectful deadlines
- A strong understanding of procurement principles/project procurement strategies
- Excellent communication/negotiation skills ability work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders/local UK vendors support buyers within team
High levels autonomy decision-making capability medium criticality/value requisitions also required.
