Position Overview:
The Bilfinger Engineering Division is growing fast and we need talent like you! These exciting new positions are important to our growth strategy of providing high quality engineering design and project services to our clients. As a key member of the Bilfinger UK Engineering Team you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most stimulating and groundbreaking design and EPC projects in the UK. Duties & Responsibilities:
- The Engineering Project Manager is required for the duration of the detailed design phase as the first responsible Bilfinger person for project delivery.
- Serve as first focal point for project team alongside Lead Engineers.
- Responsible for delivering single/multi-discipline engineering projects (EPCM or EPC).
- Projects predominantly reside in UK but may extend across Europe or wider areas.
- Manage projects through full lifecycle from concept to commissioning in both greenfield/brownfield applications.
- Ensure completion within budget/planning including change control/profit-loss management.
- Take complete ownership whether managing one project or a portfolio.
- Act as Bilfingerβs focal point with clients on stand-alone projects or within larger EPCM/EPC scopes.
Qualifications & Experience:
If you have this profile then we are looking forward to meeting you:
- Extensive experience as an Engineering Manager/Project Manager in multi-discipline projects within an Engineering/EPCM/EPC company relevant sectors.
- Experience setting up an engineering project schedule/reporting system.
- Ability developing/implementing an engineering/project management plan/design management plan.
- Good knowledge across main disciplines (Automation/Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Piping/EC&I/Process).
- Sound practical knowledge through various phases (concept/FEED/detailed design/procurement/construction/commissioning).
- Understanding working with common standard forms (NEC3&4/FIDIC etc.).

- Strong planning skills understanding dependencies between activities/disciplines
- Capability identifying growth opportunities supporting sales/business strategies

Preferred Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng/MSc or Equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline
- Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status
- Qualification from APM (Association for Project Management)
- Experience as EPM within highly regulated process industries
