Position Overview
We are delighted to announce we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Contract Manager to join our team in Rugby, within this role you will be focused on global projects, working closely with our Sales and Project Management teams supporting the execution of projects and contracts for Nuclear Services.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of complex projects in execution to achieve the project's goals and objectives.
- Coordinate with Project team (and particularly planning, financial controlling, and engineering) to achieve and further improve margin.
- Drive in coordination with Project Manager all contractual and commercial issues such as the issuance of notifications to customers, subcontractors, vendors, and insurers in line with contractual requirements.
- Prepare, manage, and negotiate claims to/from partners, insurers, contractors.
- Develop and maintain commercial relationships with clients, partners,and main subcontractors/vendors to ensure smooth operation of projectand smooth dispute resolution.
- Perform negotiations together with Project Manager on contract amendmentsand settlement agreements with clients/partners/subcontractors/vendors/insurers.
- Collaborate in identification quantification,and mitigationof risk & opportunities.
- Minimize exposureto riskand claims whilst maximizing opportunitiesand financial/operational performance while preserving Arabelle Solutions' contractual entitlements.
- Where necessary workin partnershipwith Legal teams ensuringbusiness projectandsite teams receivebestcontractualand legal advice particularlyin respectof (butnot limitedto) matters subjectto dispute resolution proceedings.
- Provide guidanceand ad hoc supportto ServicesProject Managersaboutcontractualissueson NuclearServices orders.
- Report business exposure/opportunitiesand statusof claimsyouare managing.Report insurance casesininsurance portal tool.Capture returnof experienceand bestpracticesoncommercialissues.Share lessonslearntacrossthe contractmanagementcommunitymaintainfeedback loop totenderingin order toimprovequality/profitabilityofArabelleSolutionsdeliverablesinthefuture.
Required Experience And Qualifications
- Extensive experiencein contract managementespeciallyon aglobal level.
- Experiencewith South Africanandeuropeancontracts wouldbe advantageousbutnotessential
- University Degreein Engineering QuantitySurveying BusinessAdministration orLaw
- Understandingof contractlaw
- Demonstrableexperiencewithinthenuclearpowergenerationor similarcomplexhighlyregulatedindustry
