What You'll Do
The purpose of this newly created role in the LAB Operations Team is to create a ‘great place to work’ for our London employees and visiting clients to our office. The London office is a flagship office in our LAB (London, Amsterdam, Brussels) system, being the largest office, and the focus needs to be on creating and maintaining a ‘hub’ and thriving center for both London-based employees as well as visiting employees from Amsterdam and Brussels; a destination place to work.
The Facilities & Operations Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery and optimization of a portfolio of best-in-class services and facilities at the local level that cater for local requirements while ensuring parity with other LAB offices—creating a high-quality experience for the system as whole while encouraging inter-LAB mobility.
They will work closely both with the Office Leader for London as well as local HR & Operations leadership to support delivery of their local goals regarding office environment employee experience; alongside LAB Operations Senior Director along with rest of LAB Operations Leadership Team—to deliver LAB-wide projects improvements benefiting all offices.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leadership of day-to-day operations for our London office.
- Lead execute delivery of all local services facilities including Reception Catering Cleaning M&E Logistics.
- Oversee in-house teams all London vendor contracts on-site vendor teams day-to-day ensuring SLAs KPIs are adhered highest levels service delivery coaching where required improve performance.
- Continuously look improve local office environment services facilities employee/visiting client experiences – partner Director Operational Excellence on local/LAB-wide operational improvements.
- Exercise sound commercial judgment effectively track manage all services within agreed Opex budgets also local Capex project budgets – liaising conducting regular budget reconciliation meetings with local LAB-Finance teams where required.
- Manage communications engagement Landlord respective teams ensure strong collaborative relationship.
Health & Safety (HSE) Compliance
- HS&E lead responsible person on-site (internal mandatory training risk assessment DSE’s Accident near miss investigation) supported by H&S consultants Compliance/Auditing.
- Active member Incident Response Team regularly updating IRT documentation organizing biannual table-top exercises ensure systems processes robust well maintained.
- Ensure regulatory compliance systems processes maintained line changes regulatory requirements BCG policy.
FOH/Events Meetings Management
- Oversee delivery front house/reception services high standard visitors employees.
- Execute delivery events meetings within London office including working closely internal stakeholders building reception ensure seamless visitor journey guests IT/AV ensure good experience technology.
- Partner Director Employee Client Services team ensure world-class FOH experience consistent LAB-wide standards high-quality events meeting services employees clients (on-site/off-site).
Management Leadership London Operations Team
- Develop inspire high performing team local resources/vendor personnel grow capability required either BCG vendor resources meet demands site.
- Define clear roles responsibilities within operations team ensuring accountability ownership good cross-team working partnership other BST teams i.e., IT/AV HR.
- Participate onboarding induction new joiners BCG completing office tours presentations
As key member LAB Leadership Team build strong relationships peers contribute actively positive mind-set any LAB-wide activities discussions initiatives ensure success

Project Management
Ownership delivery business improvement projects programs across London i.e., business continuity planning incident response contribution large-scale programs across LAB when required i.e., roll-out new technologies across 3 sites.
Data Reporting Analysis
Effective tracking key operational metrics related London i.e., attendance space utilization etc. affording leadership detailed view real estate investments; space utilization employee behaviors allowing aggregation data level management dashboard.
What You'll Bring
10+ years’ experience working operational/service delivery leadership role-house organization
Experience working fast-paced professional service firm environment
Extensive technical knowledge range building services disciplines facilities estate management managing both in-house teams out-sourced providers
Extensive knowledge HS&E obligations practical aspects deploying HS&E compliance
Good data ability analyze interpret technical financial information
Excellent English skills verbal written communication
Excellent communication presentation skills confident user Microsoft Office Suite
Ability influence senior stakeholders reason logic
University degree preferred Event management client-experience related projects preferred
