Senior Business Analyst - IT & Procurement

Location: Luton, 3 days per week onsite
Role Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the aerospace and technology sector, is looking for a Senior Business Analyst - IT & Procurement to form part of a team managing the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process for airline technologies. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across IT, procurement, legal, and finance to ensure the alignment of business and IT strategies within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Aviation, travel, or holiday industry experience would be highly beneficial as the project focuses on technology solutions tailored for the airline/travel sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading requirements gathering for RFPs, ensuring business needs are accurately defined and well-documented.
- Managing the full RFP lifecycle, including tender development, vendor evaluation, and selection.
- Collaborating with procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure compliance with governance policies.
- Developing vendor evaluation criteria and facilitating structured scoring and decision-making.
- Ensuring all RFP documentation is structured, detailed, and traceable throughout the procurement lifecycle.
- Supporting contract negotiations including defining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assisting in vendor onboarding and ensuring business processes are updated accordingly.
- Conducting business process analysis identifying gaps and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience building and leading RFP processes vendor selection; contract negotiations within IT; procurement.
- Strong background in business analysis methodologies including discovery; requirements gathering; process mapping; feasibility assessments.
- Ability to challenge shape align business requirements with strategic goals; IT capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- Experience using data-driven insights to inform procurement decisions understand market trends.
- Knowledge of procurement governance financial processes within large-scale organizations.
- Prior experience in aviation travel or holiday technology projects would be a distinct advantage.
