Experience Required
- Experience of working in the Defence/MOD domain.
- In-depth experience of systems engineering leadership roles within complex Defence/MOD project environments.
- Experience of delivering large-scale Defence Digital technology solutions, e.g., secure communications, mission-critical applications, data analytics.
- Experience of cloud architectures, on-premise, cyber security, software development methods, system integration + deployable technologies.
- In-depth experience of systems engineering, software development, hardware integration + testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership across systems engineering disciplines being delivered by external suppliers.
- Leading the design, testing + integration of programme solutions ensuring reliability, security and scalability.
- Acting as the primary technical interface between the supplier, internal Defence Digital teams and key stakeholders.
- Owning the software factory roadmap + development requirements for current and future contracts.
- Defining programme strategy, standards, governance structures + ensuring integrated solutions are fit for purpose.
Familiarity with Standards/Frameworks
Familiar with defence standards/frameworks such as DEF STAN, MIL-STD and NATO.
Advantageous Skills/Knowledge
Advantageous: ISR, ISTAR, Integrated Sensor Architecture (ISA), ILS, Defence Support Models; MongoDB; VMware; Kafka; APIs.
Working Arrangement
Hybrid Working: 3 - 4 days/week remote (WFH) and 1 - 2 days/week travel to sites based in Bristol and Andover.
Start Date
Start ASAP in February/March 2025.
