The Project
As a highly experienced Freelance Commercial Manager, you will have a key role overseeing commercial aspects of groundworks packages on various projects across a diverse range of sectors including education, industrial, retail, housing, accommodation, renewable energy, roads and highways.
Requirements
It is essential that you hold the experience below:
- A proven history of managing commercial aspects of groundworks packages on various projects across a range of sectors
- An extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years' experience of operating in a Commercial Manager or similar position for a civil engineering subcontractor

Duties
- Efficiently distribute responsibilities
- Deliver valuable insights to project teams
- Build and enhance supply chain partnerships
- Spotting new business prospects to stimulate revenue growth
- Collaborate with relevant departments to create precise and consistent bids
- Supervise and track subcontractor performance on projects via internal reporting
- Foster long-term effective relationships with existing clients ensuring continued success
- Monitor the progress of ongoing projects in terms of costs timelines and resource allocation
- Lead the team to oversee project procurement processes run smoothly efficiently
- Effectively addressing conflicts or challenges that could potentially undermine team performance
- Create comprehensive project operational budgets predicting costs projecting revenues
- Ensure adherence contractual terms promptly addressing any issues disputes arise
- Generate frequent financial reports outlining current financial position projects operations
- Negotiate agreements terms including pricing timelines delivery schedules performance standards
- Recognize opportunities grow business through partnerships mergers exploration new markets
- Collaborate sector cost quality lead develop implement cost quality control systems testing each stage project
- Oversee daily operations focusing staff training development negotiating contracts coordinating production schedules
- Develop manage monitor project budgets ensuring financial efficiency alignment established expenditures
- Perform audits financial records procurement procedures contract adherence ensure compliance regulatory standards
- Direct align commercial finance teams offering guidance ensuring staff necessary resources training success
