About The Role
At our client we're shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. Our client bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe's latest high speed rail projects.
We're currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Twyford to Greatworth (T2G) section based in Brackley.
In this role, you will need to carry out tasks independently, at times this will involve leading a small group of commercial staff and also carrying out both periodical duties and one-off tasks in accordance with deadlines as directed by the senior Commercial team. You will need to prepare and agree variation accounts - main contract and sub-contracts. We would also need you to monitor cost against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans in conjunction with other team disciplines.
You will provide input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustment. Another key part of the role is to prepare and agree interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts. You'll also need to prepare and issue certification and payment of sub-contractors. It's essential that you provide contractual advice to management (ensure compliance with contract and legal administration obligations e.g. Timely issue of relevant notices).
In addition you will negotiate and progress the resolution of any disputes and identify potential commercial risks evaluate options for their control management.
About The Candidate
- Quantity Surveying degree or similar.
- Enrolled in or seeking membership f relevant professional institution (CICES RICS r similar).
- Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level displaying skill n delivering positive commercial outcome fr th project(s) wth whch yu hv bn associated.
- Th ability t listen learn nd tk n board new concepts nd carry ut actions whilst mentoring junior team members.
- Driving licence s required fr ths role
