We are hiring for Principal Category Manager for our client's project based at Aldermaston, UK - 1-2 days per week Onsite

Security Clearance:

Essential:
- Proven sourcing strategy experience
- Experience of end-to-end procurement lifecycle
- A Procurement specialist with strong category management experience.
- Strong supplier engagement skills
- Stakeholder Management skills.
- Has worked with stakeholders to clearly define requirements
- Worked on Large scale Commercial contracts
- Diverse category experience
- High level of Commercial Acumen
- Central Government experience
- Good problem-solving skills
- Adaptable

Desirable:
- NEC Contract knowledge Option A, C and E or any equivalent contracts
- Construction background
- Site Decontamination exposure
- Waste services exposure would be beneficial
- Nuclear/defence background would be advantageous

Key Accountabilities:
Develop and implement Category Strategies for assigned sub-group of categories, balancing short and long-term objectives to meet business strategy and efficiencies (savings) in alignment with business stakeholders. Support and execute complex strategic sourcing activities in line with approved category strategies and preferred suppliers list, including the execution of the RFx process, supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, business award and contract handover to the business, in compliance with the business requirements as well as OUR CLIENT policies and directives, including Code of Conduct and Code of Business Ethics. Responsible for contractual and commercial management and effective contract administration to the relevant team providing commercial assurance to deliver commercial value. Support and execute Supplier Relationship Management for key and critical suppliers within the sub-group of categories, including supplier segmentation, contract management, supplier risks identification and mitigation and suppliers performance. Identify and develop supplier value including planning participating in external management review meetings with segmented suppliers (Management Business Reviews Executive Business Reviews) in accordance with OUR CLIENT Supplier Relationship Management framework agreed supplier strategy. Support provide input to the Process Performance team as appropriate. Support development interface with Service Centre.

Category Management:
Drive implement Category Strategy deliver cost effective category solutions business models. Supplier base management classification (Preferred Supplier List – PSL), securing competition supplier base. Implement ways working according OUR CLIENT Category Management Framework delivery targets KPI’s assigned group spend categories.

Business Intelligence:
Benchmark market insight support category development. The Senior Category Manager sub-category Team responsible securing tracking cost reduction contract management continuity Supply Chain.

Strategic Sourcing:
Prepare execute RFx process collaboration stakeholders including evaluation selection negotiations (costs contract). Contribute long-term ensuring competitive initial total cost development product service life cycle maintenance specific supplier contract products services.

Contract Management:
Prepare execute Contract appropriate scope value risk outlined sourcing strategy ensuring relevant stakeholders contributed approved appropriate. Administer Contract accordance terms conditions ensuring compliance. Ensure appropriate management commercial risks forecast spend change impacts key OUR CLIENT stakeholders.

Supplier Relationship Management:
Suppliers segmented managed (quality performance risk) accordance OUR CLIENT Supplier Relationship Management Framework Monitor mitigate risks (including CoC Environmental Health Safety dependency OUR CLIENT dependency on supplier), make corrective action plans identified risks.Supplier Strategies key within assigned group spend categories.
