Blueprint Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Civil Engineer to work for a key client of ours in Berkshire. Our client is an engineering consultancy who focus on delivering innovative and sustainable infrastructure solutions across a wide range of sectors.

Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in both highways and drainage to join our client's dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, assess, and deliver highway and drainage projects from concept to completion.
- Use design engineering software's such as Microdrainage, Infodrainage, Civil3D and Causeway Flow.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in highway design, drainage systems, and flood risk assessments.
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications for both highway and drainage infrastructure.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Conduct site assessments and manage the delivery of projects in compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated engineering solutions.
- Assist in preparing technical reports, tender documents, and presentations for clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of highways and drainage projects.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, Infodrainage).
- Experience in road design; stormwater management; flood risk assessments; sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).
- Excellent understanding of local & national design codes; standards; regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills & ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to build strong working relationships with clients & stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license & willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Desirable Skills
- Chartered status or working towards Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional institution (e.g., ICE).
- Experience with project management & client-facing responsibilities.
- Knowledge of BIM & 3D design technologies.
