Project Overview
My client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support a critical data migration project. The successful candidate will have expertise in SQL, SSIS, ETL, and Azure, with a strong background in retail. This role will focus on planning and costing of data from a third-party system to a centralized data platform in Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current data landscape and develop a migration plan from a third-party system to Azure.
- Define the costing and resource estimation for the migration project.
- Design and implement ETL processes using SSIS and SQL to facilitate data transfer.
- Develop a structured data model in Azure, ensuring optimal performance and accessibility.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into a robust data framework.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the migration process.
- Provide documentation and handover materials for future scalability.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in a retail environment.
- Strong expertise in SQL, SSIS, ETL processes, and Azure data services.
- Experience in data migration and consolidating data from third-party systems.
- Understanding of costing and planning for data projects.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver within tight timelines.
