Company Overview:
Robomates is an innovative startup aimed at revolutionising the tabletop game industry by integrating small, customizable tabletop robots into strategic and active family games. These robots interact with modular game fields, equipped with UHF antennas and customization options, creating an immersive and interactive gaming experience. The project includes developing robots with advanced mechanics, electronics, and embedded systems, alongside a comprehensive software ecosystem that includes a website, PC and phone apps, and cloud services. The goal is to offer a unique platform where users can play, create, and share games while also showcasing achievements and customizations.

Contractor Role:
We are looking for a contractor to support us in London with the electronics side of the project. Please check the project's Instagram and attach the cover letter explaining why you want to work with us.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype PCBs for robots, game field objects, and communication hubs.
- Integrate sensors (e.g., UHF RFID, IMUs) and actuators into robots and field devices.
- Implement efficient power management solutions for battery-operated devices.
- Develop and implement communication systems, including CC1120-based UHF radios.
- Conduct EMI/EMC testing to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in PCB design and prototyping.
- Knowledge of low-power device design and communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C).
- Expertise in UHF radio and RF systems, especially CC1120 transceivers.
- Familiarity with embedded microcontrollers and power management systems.
- Proven track record of bringing electronic products to market and solving real-world challenges.
