Description
Brand new Outside IR35 Contract Opportunity with a National Security SME in Cheltenham for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Enhanced DV Clearance.
• Must hold Active Enhanced DV (West) Clearance to start
• Up to £600 p/day - Outside IR35
• 12 month contract
• Cheltenham location - 3 days p/w onsite minimum
• One stage virtual interview - high priority role
• Essential experience in Linux, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes/Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage platform infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Ensure infrastructure and data security.
• Maintain cloud tools for production.
• Provide product teams with infrastructure insights.
• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
We need the SRE to have:
• Enhanced DV Clearance (West) to start
• Willing to be on-site in Cheltenham when required - minimum 3 days per week.
Key skills required:
• Expertise in Linux (CentOS, Red Hat, Ubuntu).
• Experience building scalable, automated AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS).
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong advocacy for best practices and supporting tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self-sufficient problem solver with a proactive approach.
• Solid grasp of monitoring, auto-scaling, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery.
• Proven ability to deploy full-stack solutions in the cloud.
• Experience implementing Service Reliability processes.
• Understanding of agile development and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
