Terms: part time, remote, freelance contract
Remuneration: Fixed project fee of £1,450 plus 7-10% of the raise. OTE £3,900

About Show of Hands:
Show of Hands is a new independent music and arts festival on the second May Bank Holiday weekend in 2026. It is all about jazz, performance, families, hot air ballooning, and the power of individual choice. Everyone who attends, including the audience, artists, and crew, gets a vote on how the festival’s future takes shape. The more they put in, the more their voice carries weight. The festival explores the concept of radical governance. What if the biggest decisions were left in the hands of the community? What could possibly go wrong?

About the role:
In 2025, Show of Hands Festival will launch a crowdfunding campaign to generate community interest and revenue for its first year in May 2026. Our goal is to raise £35,000 when the campaign goes live in July. As part of this, we are looking for an experienced Crowdfunding Manager who understands the arts landscape and has a proven track record of generating revenue through public crowdfunding campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience running successful crowdfunding campaigns in the arts and culture sector.
- Strong knowledge of crowdfunding platforms, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.
- Understanding of the UK music festival landscape, including funding challenges and audience behaviours.
- Confident in developing and executing a compelling campaign strategy while working collaboratively with the wider team.
- Established relationships with local and regional media, particularly radio stations and TV channels to drive press coverage and public engagement.
- Strong storytelling skills with ability to craft persuasive messaging that connects emotionally with backers ,festival goers ,and press.
- Confidence in managing public responses ,handling questions ,and addressing challenges during campaign.
- An analytical mindset with ability to track campaign performance ,adjust strategies based on data ,and report on key metrics.

This role requires someone who can drive crowdfunding success while ensuring strong media visibility ,making campaign a key moment in festival’s journey.
