The Anthro joint venture between Egis and VVB Engineering will provide comprehensive turn-key services for London's state-of-the-art HS2 gateway station at Old Oak Common. We have been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver MEPHFC (Mechanical, Electrical Public Health, Fire and Communications) systems works.
Location
The role will be working at the site in Old Oak Common Station in Acton (West London) at least 3 days a week.
Job Description
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement.
Role Responsibilities
- NEC3/4 Option C Contract management and administration
- Establish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the Subcontract
- Lead the review and valuation of contractor applications for payment in accordance with contractual terms and conditions
- Liaison and negotiation with the Customers Commercial and/or project team
- Establishing and maintaining productive collaborative relationships with relevant internal external stakeholders
- Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with contract requirements oversee any contractual issues
- Investigate draft contract communications notices including Early Warning Notices notification of Compensation Events General Communications
- Provide contractual commercial risk advice to Commercial team wider Technical Construction Delivery teams
- Manage monitor report on commercial cost reporting aspects allocated projects portfolio works
- Support programme project teams ensure full compliance contract corporate governance rules
Qualifications
You must have right to work in the UK.
Educated to degree level.
Main contractor or joint venture experience required.
Experienced administering NEC3/4 contracts (A/C/E must have). Use of CEMAR is desirable.
Experienced in leading full range contract management activities including evaluation assessment high value Compensation Events
Ability lead project financial monitoring reporting
Experienced proactive change risk management
Experienced negotiating procuring sub-contract packages (Design Delivery Commission), testing robustness costs value money
Experience working within collaborative culture or mature approach relationship management long-term strategic focus
Able prioritise delivery objectives role
Ability performance manage hold account
Experience managing developing assistant intermediate-level commercial team members
