Location: South Yorkshire
Contract: Initial 6-month contract (likely longer) / Outside IR35
Rate: £45.00p/h - £47.50 p/h DOE (outside IR35)
Key Technologies: Siemens TIA Portal / Heavy Engineering / Materials Handling / Design
Client Overview:
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in South Yorkshire who require a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to support a major project on an initial 6-month contract (up to 3 years’ worth of work). My client provides full project lifecycle services within medium to heavy engineering industries UK wide.
Daily Duties:
- Program PLC / HMI / SCADA systems primarily using Siemens TIA Portal
- Design of electrical distribution / motor control systems
- Production of FDS / SDS
- Prepare design & tender specs as well as estimates
- Attend client & sub-contractor meetings providing technical knowledge
Required Attributes:
- Strong appreciation for controls systems, programming using Siemens TIA Portal
- Hands-on experience within heavy engineering & materials handling ideally within Nuclear
- Experience in full project life cycle from initial design
- Strong communication skills working closely with client & subcontractor
