Project Background:
A leading financial institution is building an advanced analytical tool to optimize collateral utilization within its Global Markets division. The tool will track collateral allocation across various trading desks, apply funding charges, and optimize collateral usage within the bank. This will involve Back End data transformation, batch job optimization, waterfall logic analysis, Databricks integration, and potentially UI dashboards. The contractor will work on developing core functionalities for the application and help modernize the DevOps process to reduce manual testing and release efforts.
Role Description:
The role is for a developer to join the London team and collaborate on various aspects of the project, including:
- Batch Performance Improvement: Enhance stability and processing efficiency.
- Application Implementation: Design Back End tables, data transformation layers, and processes for the analytical engine.
- Source & Uses Waterfall Logic: Implement Back End logic for S&U analysis.
Team Description:
The team is based in both London and Toronto, with members including 4 developers, 2 QA testers, 4 business analysts, and a project manager. The team works closely with the Resource Management group and Central Funding Group.
Required Skills:
- C# and .NET (Expert level)
- Very strong multi-threading
- Asynchronous programming
- SQL Server Development
- WebAPI/REST Services
- Azure
- Knowledge of modern software architecture patterns
- Strong expertise in Back End development, debugging, and writing performant services
Desirable Skills:
- Capital markets experience
- Knowledge of collateral management
- Experience with Databricks
- Python skills
Contract Terms:
12-month contract with potential extensions
