Job Summary
The Digital and Data Directorate is responsible for ensuring that the UKHSA's digital and data capabilities support the delivery of the Agency's mission, aligned to the wider health system. It provides strategic leadership and oversight for developing and managing a common and bespoke suite of services, platforms and applications linked to UKHSA business and user requirements, including standard setting, quality assurance and a culture of innovative thinking.
The Directorate leads on driving the design of the UKHSA digital and data estate, focussing on delivering high quality, efficient products and services that strengthen health security. It owns the lifecycle of UKHSA health and non-health data sets and the development of architectural solutions.
The Deputy Director Architecture and Standards will be required to define, lead, and manage CDO's and UKHSA's strategy with respect to the enterprise architecture and roadmap, horizon scanning, clinical technology, innovation, AI & machine learning as it pertains to both CDO & wider UKHSA organisation; in addition delivery workplace applications / platforms; ERP; technology services; infrastructure; HPC; scientific computing; data & analytics platforms; development & operation applications/systems transitional service agreements receiver organisations actively driving down total cost ownership technology estate.
Main Duties
- Defining/documenting enterprise architecture ensuring integrity evolution.
- Leading our architects working closely stakeholders across organisation including human resources finance science other business areas.
- Driving down total cost ownership technology estate.
- Defining implementing managing technical design standards.
- Establishing effective technical design authority associated processes ensure decisions advance Enterprise Architecture CDO Strategy.
- Translating mission needs horizon into phased technical roadmap.
- Ensuring alignment initiatives strategic architectural principles.
- Definition Enterprise Architecture Innovation strategy.
- Championing enterprise architecture government setting standards ways working community.
