Role Overview:
As a Model-Based Development Engineer (Freelancer), you will contribute to the development and validation of advanced traction inverter systems for automotive applications. Your role will focus on model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink, ensuring accurate torque estimation, arbitration, and monitoring. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement, test, and optimize software solutions in line with industry standards such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, and the V-Model.
Engagement Details:
Length: 4 months contract with possible extension
Allocation: 100%, full-time
Location: Warwick, Gaydon or Crewe
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain model-based software using MATLAB/Simulink for traction inverter systems.
- Implement and validate torque estimation, arbitration, and monitoring algorithms.
- Utilize Simulink Test/Test Viewer for comprehensive system testing and validation.
- Write and maintain scripting languages to support automation and system integration.
- Follow software development processes using GIT, ASPICE, and the V-Model.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering.
- Proven experience in model-based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Strong understanding of traction inverter systems and related control strategies.
- Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR C++, C, and scripting languages.
- Familiarity with Simulink Test/Test Viewer, ASPICE, V-Model, and GIT for software development.
