Overview:
This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector. This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 12+ years of experience as a QA Lead.
- Expertise in Agile testing and test automation (accelerators and tools).
- Proficiency in Selenium C# with a BDD framework using SpecFlow.
- Strong experience in API Automation.
- Implementation of Selenium Grid.
- Expertise in applying appropriate test measurements and metrics.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Accountable for End-to-End testing deliverables within a portfolio, including demand management. Responsible for bringing in capable candidates to the team and ensuring that End-to-End delivery for each program maintains top-quality deliverables. Ensure Business Continuity.
- Manage a small team of 10-12 members, including setting their goals, conducting appraisals, and creating development plans to support their aspirations.
- Demonstrate Automation experience and the ability to manage and deliver top-quality testing for medium to large programs.
- Take a leadership position in automation by collaborating with Architects and Scrum team members to clarify requirements, ensuring testability and automation capabilities.
- Provide feedback on both functional and technical design.
- Innovate with the latest tools and processes to improve QA functionality, manual testing, and Automation testing.
- Document best practices and mentor junior team members.
- Work on frameworks to ensure continuous deployment and continuous integration.
- Develop new proofs-of-concepts for QA Automation, ensuring continual improvements.
Additional Requirements:
The role requires frequent exposure to senior levels of business leadership. Work independently under minimal managerial supervision while delivering work as assigned using established procedures. Guidance will be provided for tasks with limited precedents. Define roadmap collaboration with Portfolio/IT managers while driving alignment across all stakeholders.
