Main Duties of the Job
The Contract Operations Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of critical contracted services, including cleaning, catering, transport, car parking and waste management. This dynamic role involves ensuring operational excellence, meeting performance targets, driving innovation, and collaborating with senior stakeholders to develop strategic plans that enhance patient care. With a focus on leadership, budget management, and service improvement, we seek a professional with proven experience in large-scale contract management, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to our values: Patients First, Always Improving, Working Together.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- To Lead manage effective day-to-day operational management contracted services within EFCD Clinical Services Group.
- Ensure resources are utilised effectively efficiently provide service facilitate robust business continuity.
- Ensure that contracted services are delivered agreed Key Performance indicators set budgetary parameters escalating Associate Director EFCD Clinical Services when this at risk.
- Actively support modernisation within Division enhance service delivery.
- Undertake equal duties estates senior manager on-call rota.

Person Specification

Qualifications / Training Required
Essential Criteria:
- Educated Masters level able demonstrate equivalent level knowledge skills experience relevant discipline.
- Leadership Management training
- Evidence continuing professional development

Desirable Criteria:
- MSc related discipline

Previous or Relevant Experience Necessary
Essential Criteria:
- Experience management role large complex organisation.
- Experience working Heads Department clinicians other senior staff both within outside NHS building internal external relationships
- Significant level experience initiation management change services process policy systems.
- Staff resource management experience.
- Able facilitate implement policy guidelines projects initiation completion
Budget Management

Desirable Criteria:
Experience knowledge business case writing
Experience negotiating supplier maintenance support contracts obtain improved value
