Position: Groundworks Project Manager
Duration: 4 Months (Freelance)
Rate: Negotiable (DOE)
Scope: Groundworks, Demolition, Services, Subcontractor Management, Programming, Client Interface
We are looking for an experienced Groundworks Project Manager to oversee a 4-month freelance contract in Birmingham. This role will involve managing groundworks, demolition, service installations, subcontractors, programming, and client liaison to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Oversee groundworks, demolition, and service installation from start to finish
✔ Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams
✔ Develop and maintain project schedules and programming
✔ Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and industry standards
✔ Conduct progress reporting, risk assessments, and quality control checks
✔ Act as the key point of contact for the client and stakeholders
✔ Work closely with engineers, site teams, and suppliers to meet deadlines and budgets
Requirements:
✔ Proven experience as a Project Manager in groundworks & civil engineering
✔ Strong knowledge of demolition, service installations, and subcontractor management
✔ Ability to develop and manage programming & schedules
✔ Excellent communication skills for client interface and team leadership
✔ SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification preferred
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive progress on-site
